What Applications Are Available Through One-Click on DreamHost?
One-Click Install claims to offer you 2 different blogs, one Content Management System (CMS), 3 communication apps, 1 e-commerce app, 1 forum, 1 wiki, and 12 other apps, but the numbers don’t exactly match up with the list of offerings, which includes WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal, Moodle, PhpBB, Zen Cart, Zenphoto, Web Calender, Advanced Poll, and ten others.
A note says that the installation list is dated and that an app-store-style library into which any application developer can include their app is now available. The entire list is only available to customers (by signing into their webpanel). The note suggests that the installation information provided on the website, which explains two different methods of application installation for shared and VPS web hosting, may also be outdated.
This provides you with the same installation of WordPress that you would get by downloading yourself from WordPress.org, as opposed to the self-hosted WordPress application available from WordPress.com, where you sign up, and start blogging immediately.
